Some Suspects in the BART Station Attack have been Identified
Apparently, the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has “high-quality digital footage” of the 40-60 alleged teen robbers that swarmed the Coliseum Station this past Saturday. Alicia Trost, a spokeswoman for BART, stated:
We know who they are. We’ve identified them, but we still have to work with the witnesses.
The names or ages of the identified teens were not released, nor were the number of teens that were actually identified. Apparently, some of the alleged robbers had prior incidents because BART police recognized some of the suspects. Unfortunately, only six out of the nine cameras on the train were working at the time of the incident. Arrest warrants are being sought to bring some of these suspects into custody.
Hopefully some justice will be served in this incident to curb another incident such as this one from happening in the future.
